Thomas P. Frontiero

Thomas P. Frontiero Gloucester, MA - Thomas P. Frontiero, Age 63, of Essex, Mass., passed away peacefully on December 29, after a battle with brain cancer. He was the husband of the late Tina Dammeyer whom he shared 34 years of marriage.
He was the son of the late Vito and Lillian (Kyrouz) Frontiero. He attended St. Ann’s School and was a member of the choir and graduated from Gloucester High School, class of 1973. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from North Shore Community College. Tom worked for Gloucester Engineering for 30+ years and at Crosby’s Market.
Tom loved traveling with his family and had an RV for many years. He often brought nieces and nephews on their camping trips. They vacationed all over New England and the East Coast. He was an avid Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins fan, coached his daughter’s softball, soccer, and basketball teams. He was active in many sports, including hockey, ice skating, beach volleyball, basketball, bowling, golf, swimming, and bicycling. Tom loved live music, attending open mike nights and concerts. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Essex where he taught Sunday school.
He enjoyed his time with his family at reunions, St. Peter’s Fiesta, amusement parks, playing cards and going to the beach. He remained especially close to his sisters.
Tom is survived by his children, Amanda Frontiero and Fiance Josh Laurance of San Diego, Calif. and Nick Frontiero of Beverly.
He is also survived by his sisters, Janet Grissett and her husband Skip of Portland, Ore.; Joan Fugalli and her husband Jack of Gloucester and Lecanto, Fla.; and brother William and his wife Kathy of Gloucester, in-laws Kenneth Tolman and Debbie Dammeyer of Maine; Kendra Tolman of Gloucester; and Kenny Tolman of Lynn.
A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Essex on January 5 at 4 p.m. Please omit flowers. Donations in Tom’s memory can be made to the family at

To Janet, Bill, Joanie and all of Tom's family,
I am so sorry for your loss I will always remember Tom very affectionately as little Tommy as he was always littler than the rest of us. Such a sweet young man. Sorry I lost touch with so many of my Gloucester family. May Tom rest in peace with his beloved wife.

Tom was a kind, caring, thoughtful man. He always had a smile for everyone, positive guy.. I told him.. I wish I could be alittle more like him and smile thru times of adversity. I loved going to music venues and just riding around with him... up to Maine, Acadia, NH.. He loved having fun.. I am sick and saddened by his passing.. To Amanda, Nicky, Joanie and ALL the Family.. My deepest Condolences. the picture you chose for this obit. really nice. he was so happy,,. that was a pic from our trip to Acadia.. Nice.. Tom was a good good man..He made my life alittle better having known him..
