Vivian Berman, 88, of Lexington and Gloucester, peacefully passed away on New Year's Eve surrounded by family.
Vivian, an acclaimed artist and printmaker, is survived by her loving husband Samuel, her children Mark, David, Jonas, and Michael, and her grandchildren, Noah, Lyn, Alexander, Zachary, Nicholas, Samantha, Madeline, Emma, and Alana.
Vivian was born in New York City in 1928, and graduated from The Cooper Union in 1950. Her artwork has been exhibited worldwide and is in the permanent collections of many museums including the U.S. Library of Congress.
A memorial service celebrating Vivian's life, and a scholarship fund in her honor that will allow others to enjoy an affordable education at The Cooper Union, are being planned by the family and will be announced at a later date.
