GLOUCESTER, MA: William Thomas Raymond, 69, of Gloucester, husband of the late Cecily (Raschi). passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 24, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

He was born in Manchester, N.H., on July 29, 1946, son of the late Edward and Loretta (Keenan) Raymond.

Bill was a graduate of Gloucester High School and later attended St. Francis College, receiving his bachelor degree in Math.

He was the owner of Capt. Bill’s International Tuna, a job he truly loved.

Bill was an avid fresh and saltwater fisherman.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Bill is survived by his sister, Mary Rowley and her husband, Allen of Gloucester; a niece, Kathyrn Rowley; two nephews, Andrew and Michael Rowley; a great-niece, Harper Rowley; two great-nephews, Joseph Hnulik and Thomas Rowley and many close friends.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services and the burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Cape Ann Animal Aid Association, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930.
