SOUTH HAMILTON: Ann M. (McMorrow) Cleveland 83, beloved wife of Lawrence W. Cleveland, died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the Essex Park Health Care Center in Beverly.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Dolan) McMorrow. She was raised in Everett and received her education in the Everett school system.
Mrs. Cleveland had been employed as a bookkeeper for many years at the Stop and Shop in Gloucester until the time of her retirement.
Mrs. Cleveland and her husband moved to Gloucester in 1961, prior to moving to Hamilton in 1975, where they hadd since resided. She was an active member of the Church of St. Paul in Hamilton for many years, active at the Senior Center in Hamilton and the YMCA in Beverly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 62 and a half years of marriage, she is survived by two daughters, Doreen Gallagher and her husband, John of Gloucester and June Figurido and her husband, Kevin of Hamilton; a son, Lawrence B. Cleveland and his wife, Barbara of Hamilton; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family in Ireland. She was also the sister of the late Catherine Fraga.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Paul, 50 Union Street, Hamilton, Friday, March 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
