Deborah Ann Peavey, 67, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 4, 2017, in the Kaplan Family Hospice house with her loving family at her side.
Deborah was born July 17, 1949 in Gloucester, the daughter of the late Roy and Mary (Sweet) Peavey. She was a longtime resident of Gloucester.
Deborah worked for many years as a Visiting Nurse Care Giver. She had a passion to take care of the elderly.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially with her family at Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
Deborah is survived by her loving children, James Silva and his wife, Karrie of Orlando, Fla., and Tammy Walsh and her husband, Thomas of Gloucester; her sister, Nancy Peavey of Gloucester; her two brothers, Barry Peavey of Gloucester and Don Peavey of Gloucester; her three cherished grandchildren, Melissa Silva, Zachary Burke and Gavin Sainato. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as her amazing lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary and father, Roy; brother, Robert Peavey; sister, Mary Jane Nelson and Lois Day.
She may know rest easy and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
In honoring with Deborah’s wishes there will be no funeral services. There will be a celebration of Deborah’s life at Gloucester Fraternity Club, 27 Webster St., Gloucester, on July 21, at 5 p.m. Family and friends are respectfully invited.
