Dorothy J.'s Story
Dorothy J. (Snow) Bongette, 70, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at her home.
Daughter of the late Lawrence and Katherine (Atwood) Snow, she was raised and educated in Rockport, graduated from Rockport High School, Class of 1963 and attended New York University.
Dorothy worked for many years as an office manager for several companies on the North Shore including, Kernco, Northern Marketing, and S.J. Services. Her interests included cooking, gardening, going to the movies, and watching both The New England Patriots and professional tennis.
A longtime resident of Rockport and Peabody prior to moving to Beverly, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving her are two sons, Lawrence F. Bongette and his wife, Lynne of Walpole and Joseph Bongette of Danvers; two grandchildren, Audrey and Kyle Bongette of Walpole, a sister, Judith Kinmond of California; her former husband, Martin T. Bongette of Danvers; sister-in-law, Joan Snow of Manchester-by-the-Sea, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Mia. She was predeceased by her brother, James Snow.
Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
