E. Alice "Junior"'s Story
E. Alice ”Junior” Lindsey, 71, of Rockport, passed away in the Seacoast Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester on Wednesday morning, July 27, 2016. Alice was born in Goldsboro, N.C., on August 16, 1944, the daughter of the late Egon and Alice (Walsh) Schwartz. She received her Bachelors degree and worked as a social worker for Strongest Link Aids Services in Danvers, and the North Shore Aids Health Project based in Gloucester. Alice was an avid animal lover. She had a profound sense of humor and a tenacious way with words. A very kind and loving individual, she will be missed by many.
A visiting hour will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016, from 10 to 11 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited. A service will follow the visiting hour at 11 a.m. at the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester. Burial will be held privately. Her caregivers and friends would like to give a great big thank you to the Seacoast Nursing Home staff on Cape Ann Way for their excellent caring and compassion that was shown to Alice while she was there.
