KINGMAN, ARIZONA: Elaine Margaret (Poole) Hill passed away peacefully with her son Christopher by her side at Joan and Diane Hospice Home in Kingman, Ariz., due to complications of COPD.
Elaine was born in Gloucester, the daughter of Dwight and Arlene (Young) Poole.
She graduated Gloucester High School, Class of 1963. She was a longtime resident of Kingman and was a retired clerk at Mohave County Treasurer’s Office. She was a devoted dog parent and enjoyed making quilts for family and friends. She was a member of The American Legion, Auxillary 3, as well as a member of the Rainbow Girls.
She is survived by her mother, Arlene (Young) Moore of Gloucester; her sons, John Dineen and Paul Dineen of Kingman, and Christopher Dineen of Stoneham; her stepchildren, Carol (Hill) Lawrence and Daniel Hill and their respective families; her siblings, James Poole, Glenn Poole, Thomas Poole and Ellen (Poole) Marques of Gloucester; her aunt, Kay Poole of Ipswich; her granddaughters, Reesa Dineen, Jasmyn (Dineen) Mills of Kingman, and Skylar Dineen-Johnson of Payson, Ariz.; her great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jeremiah, Scott, Ellie, Shelby and Pace; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by Dwight Poole, her father; Warren Moore, her step-father; James Dineen, her former husband and father of her children; and Lester Hill, her former husband.
Elaine’s Memorial Service will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
