Grace J.'s Story
Grace J. Walsh, 87, of Gloucester, formerly of Manchester-by-the-sea, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at her home. She was born in New York, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary McLocklin. In her earlier years she worked as a switchboard operator for the New England Telephone Co. Then, for many years she was an answering service operator. In her later years, she was a CSR at the Gloucester National Bank/Citizens Bank in downtown Gloucester, where she retired after 13 years. She is survived by her brother, Richard McLocklin of Littleton, Mass., and her sister, Dorothy Aupperlee of South Dennis, Mass. She is also survived by her five children, Catherine Towle of Florida; Eileen Walsh of Gloucester; James Walsh of Florida; William Walsh of Florida; Patricia Anderson of Alaska; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
