Grace M.'s Story
Grace M. (Bartolotta) Ciolino, 78, wife of Joseph Ciolino of Gloucester, passed away at Beverly Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Saturday morning, October 29, 2016.
She was born in Terrasini, Sicily, Italy on October 28, 1938, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Anna (Moceri) Bartolotta.
Grace loved being a mother and grandmother, her greatest passion was her family. Grace would always put everyone before herself.
She enjoyed staying at home cooking and baking and especially hosting Sunday family dinners. She also was an avid gardener. She was a member of the Madonna Del Rosario Society and the Knitting Club.
She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Ciolino of Gloucester; her three sons, Dominic J. Ciolino of Gloucester, Thomas V. Ciolino and his wife, Neeti of Ashland, Joseph M. Ciolino and his wife Julie of Marlborough; her daughter, Catherine M. Lessard and her husband, Paul of Medford; six grandchildren, Sonali Ciolino, Joseph, Nico and Anna Grace Ciolino, Paul and Katerina Lessard; her sister, Eleanor “Lola” Nicolosi of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Gaspar Bartolotta and his wife Bettina of Terrasini, Sicily, Italy, Pepo Bartolotta and his wife, Concetta of Palermo, Sicily, Italy and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Anna Temmerissi of Terrasini, Sicily, Italy.
Her funeral will be held from the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Wednesday, November 2, at 8:45 a.m. followed a Mass celebrated in St. Ann’s Church, Holy Family Parish at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home are on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
