GLOUCESTER: Ivana Grace Parisi, 1, daughter of Vincenzo and Giacqueline (Onorio) Parisi, passed away on Sunday evening, January 31, 2016, at the Children’s Hospital in Boston.
She was born in Beverly, Mass., on December 7, 2014.
Ivana lost her courageous battle to a rare disease of VLCADD and of heart failure.
Ivana was the happiest little girl. She loved dancing, especially to Rude by Magic and State of my Head by Shinedown. Ivana was so loveable and put a smile on everyone’s face. She never left home without a bow on her head.
Ivana loved her twin brother, Nico. Even though he would crawl over her, kiss her and sneak in a slap, she still loved him.
Ivana Strong wasn’t just a saying. Ivana was a strong little girl who was loved by all that met her. We want to thank our family, our friends and the community for all your love, support and prayers.
We also want to thank Ivana’s metabolic doctor, Dr. Edward Neilan, all the doctors and nurses at Children’s Hospital 11South and her pediatrician, Dr. Brian Orr.
She is survived by her parents, Vincenzo and Giacqueline; her twin brother, Nicolas Santo Parisi; her maternal grandparents, Gabriele and Valentina (Favazza) Onorio; paternal grandparents, Tony and Geri (Militello) Parisi; great-grandparents, Rosalie Militello, Jennie Favazza, Girolama Onorio, Vincenzo and Filippa Parisi; uncles and aunts, Gaetano Onorio and wife Michelle,Vanessa Silva and husband Patrick, who are also Ivana’s godparents, Jaclyn Rufful and husband Shane, Sabrina Parisi and boyfriend AJ Roberto and Santo Parisi; cousins, Madison, Dominic, Sophia, Kenzie and Michael. She is also survived by many great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her great-grandparents, Santo Militello, Giacomo Favazza and Gaetano Onorio.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church, Holy Family Parish on Thursday, February 4, at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
