Janice Anita (Byrne)'s Story
Mrs. Janice Anita (Byrne) Saputo, 83, of Summerfield, Florida passed away September 4, 2016, at her sister’s home. She was the loving wife of the late Sebastian “Busty” Saputo.
Janice was born September 14, 1932, in Ardonia, N.Y., daughter of the late Oliver and Margaret (Sabarese) Byrne. She was the owner and operator of Drift Wood Inn Restaurant in Gloucester for many years until her retirement.
Janice will be deeply missed by her sisters, M. Louise Hatcher of Summerfield, Fla., and Claire Costantino and her husband, Raymond of Highland, N.Y.; and her brother, Oliver Thomas Byrne and his wife, Evie of Highland, N.Y. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Joe Vizena; sisters-in-law, Mary Saputo, Maryann Porper and her husband, Billy; and many devoted nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Franny Byrne; her brothers-in-law, Eddie Hatcher and Jimmy Saputo; her sisters-in-law, Frances Vizena and Angelina Verga and her husband, Sam. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Lena and John Saputo.
Janice’s Graveside Service will be in Calvary Cemetery, Eastern Avenue, Gloucester, on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
