GLOUCESTER: Joanne E. (Patturelli) Murrin, 76, wife of the late Daniel T. Murrin, died Tuesday afternoon at Beverly Hospital, following an extended illness. Born in Medford, daughter of the late John and Amelia (Groppi) Patturelli.
She lived in Medford for the past 30 years. Previous to that, she lived in Stoneham for 20 years and in Gloucester for many years. She was a register nurse at New England Memorial Hospital for 20 years and was a school nurse for the town of Stoneham School Department for 33 years and was retired. She was an avid cook and her greatest enjoyment was cooking at family social gatherings.
Surviving her are four sons, Daniel J. Murrin and his wife, Lisa of Gloucester, Brian E. Murrin of Everett, Peter D. Murrin and his wife, Wendy of Gloucester and Paul B. Murrin and his wife, Lisa of Reading; two brothers, Charles Patturelli of Medford and Paul Patturelli of Boxford; one sister, Estelle Callahan of Burlington; four grandchildren, Daniel E. Murrin, Matthew D. Murrin, Rachel E. Murrin, and Spencer P. Murrin. Also surviving is Jane A. Donovan of Gloucester and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Joanne’s Life will be held at Spinelli’s Restaurant, Route 1 South, Lynnfield, Sunday, September 27 at 12:15 p.m. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
