Joseph A.'s Story
Joseph A. Puccio, 87, husband of the late Madeline Grace (Pallazola) Puccio and Lucy (Mineo) Puccio of Gloucester, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wis. on October 22, 1928, son of the late Anthony and Nora (Alviara) Puccio.
Joseph served in the United States Navy. He later worked as a plasterer for many years in the Cape Ann area.
He enjoyed bingo and playing cards at the St. Peter’s Club where he was a member for many years. He also loved to dance and would be the first one on the dance floor at any function.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Anthony Puccio and his wife, Deborah, Michael Puccio and his wife, Carla, all of Gloucester; daughters, Nora Curreri and her husband, Jerry of Venice, Fla. and Annette Puccio of Gloucester; grandchildren, Lucia Curreri Mastroianni and her husband, J.R. of Beverly, Nicole Morris of Brookline, Tara Hale of Fitchburg, Mass., Nicole Latsis and her husband, Petro of West Boylston, Mass., Joseph Puccio and his wife, Courtney of North Weymouth, Mass., Jacklyn-Ann, Madeline and Michelle Puccio, all of Gloucester; great-grandchildren, Jack and Anthony Mastroianni, Adrianna, Aurora, Alexandra, Christian and Joshua Hale, Aidan and Cullen McNamara, Alexa and Olivia Latsis; sisters, Rosalie Padre of Gloucester and Pauline Stevens of St. Petersburg, Fla.; step-son, Frank Curreri and his wife, Lori of Beverly; step-daughter, Linda Grillo and her husband, Gerry of Gloucester; step-grandchildren, Kristen Curreri, Rose (Grillo) Ferrera, Lucia (Grillo) Burby and Bart Grillo.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Anthony James Curreri; granddaughter, Gina Marie Puccio; sister, Joanne Testaverde and his brother, Paul Puccio.
His funeral service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Saturday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
