Karen A. (Mullahy)'s Story

Mrs. Karen A. (Mullahy) Rudolph, 53, of Gloucester passed unexpectedly away on Thursday, November 10, 2016, in Addison Gilbert Hospital. She was the wife of James H. Rudolph, Jr., with whom she shared 13 years of marriage.
Karen was born October 5, 1963, in Gloucester, daughter of William H. Mullahy of Delaware and Alice J. (Sanborn) Mullahy of Gloucester. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of Northshore Regional Vocational Technical School, Class of 1983.
She worked for Cyrk Clothing in the Quality Control Department and was known as “Little Karen.”
She was known as a giving person who loved her family. Karen enjoyed camping and could be found sitting next to the campfire talking. She also enjoyed playing 500 Rummy and sitting with her grandmother at the Gloucester Waterfront on the Boulevard near the bridge watching the boats go by. Karen also enjoyed walking along the shoreline.
In addition to her husband, Jimmy, father, William and mother, Alice, Karen is survived by her two sisters, Debbie A. Perruzzi and her husband, Richard S. and Cindy Burke and her husband, Scott, all of Gloucester; her brother, Richard Klier of Orlando, Fla.; her mother-in-law, Barbara Rudolph; sister-in-law, Margaret Seale; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the granddaughter of the late Edith and Richard Sanborn; and aunt of the late CPL Steven Gerrior.
Karen’s funeral service will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday evening, November 16, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
