GLOUCESTER: Mrs. Kathy A. (Delaney) Chambers, 60, of Gloucester, died Friday, September 4, 2015 at home, after a brief illness with her loving family at her side. She was the loving wife to William A. Chambers with whom she shared 40 years of marriage.
Kathy was born April 23, 1955 in Gloucester daughter of Priscilla (Grey) Delaney of Rockport and the late John Delaney. She was a resident of Gloucester for most of her life and attended Gloucester High School.
She worked as a Bus Drive for CATA Transportation for many years.
She enjoyed the great times she shared with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband and mother, Kathy is survived by her two sons, William A. Chambers of Rockport and Adam S. Chambers and his wife, Stephanie of Georgetown; three brothers, Ronald Delaney of Gloucester, George Delaney of Deerfield and James K. Delaney of Gloucester. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Austin and Hannah Chambers; her sisters-in law, Jeannie Wescott and her husband, David and JoAnne Corrao, many nieces, nephews including Josh and many devoted friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Kathy’s Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St. Gloucester at 11 a.m. Visitation period will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. Interment will be in Dollivers Cemetery, West Gloucester.
