Kimberly S.'s Story

Text size

Kimberly S. Witham, 50, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully at Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers on Wed., March 1, 2017, with loved ones by her side. She was the wife of the late Matthew Witham.
She was born in Gloucester on May 9, 1966. She was daughter of the late Carole (Muise) Fontaine and Richard Robert Spellman. Kim grew up in Magnolia, where she was well known and loved. Her sense of humor and quick wit helped her make and keep many friends. Anybody who knew Kim knew that the most important thing in her life was the well being and happiness of her sons, Cameron and James. She was very proud of them. She was also a very proud grandmother to Liam, James' son. Kim loved anything and everything "British," the history, the food, Television shows, books, the flag, everything. Above all was the television series "Dr. Who," which she would watch over and over. She knew every word of every show, but still enjoyed watching them. Kim was very artistic and would spend hours creating all kinds of works of art. She would see something in her mind and easily be able to create it with her hands.
Kim is survived by her sons, Cameron C. Miles and James M. Patrican of Gloucester; her grandson, Liam J. Patrican of Gloucester; her brother, Ronald Spellman of Gloucester; her sisters, Nicole (Fontaine) Van Praet and her husband, Sean of Methuen, and Deborah (Spellman) Neal and her companion, Darrell Robinson of Gloucester; her nieces, Jenna Van Praet and Amanda Neal; her nephews, Alex Van Praet, Dylan Spellman, Francis Neal and Daniel Neal; a great-niece, Jolie Robinson and great-nephew, Michael Rrobinson; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all cherished.
There will be a celebration of life at the American Legion, 8 Washington St., in Gloucester on Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m. All family and friends are invited.
