Kirsten Dahlgren, 41, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016, in Allen Park, Mich.
Born in Rockport on November 26, 1974, she was the beautiful daughter of Erik and Judy Dahlgren.
Kirsten was an honors student at Rockport High School and attended UMass Amherst and Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif.
Her intense interest in wellness eventually led to her opening a holistic healing business. Her curiosity led to her many interests including travel, skiing, the outdoors, love of nature, music, and other various art forms. In addition, she enjoyed and was proud of her Swedish heritage.
Kirsten was an extremely independent, free-spirited individual with an unforgettable smile and vibrant personality, spreading sunshine wherever she went. She touched the lives of many and will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Kirsten is survived by her three daughters, Elin Bouchard, and Cloe and Kirsti Dobbs, all of Michigan; her mother, Judy, of Warren, Mich.; her father, Erik and his wife, Jennifer, of Rockport; her dear brother, Lars, of Gloucester; her aunt, Sonja Pryor and Cecilia Furlotte, both of Ipswich; her grandmother, Catherine Ramsey, of Sterling Heights, Mich.; many uncles and cousins, numerous relatives in Sweden, and many close friends.
A service will be held in Michigan and a private family service will be held on Cape Ann later this summer.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the Massachusetts Audubon Society/Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield.
