Marianne Elizabeth, formerly of Bala-Cynwyd and Haverford. Devoted wife of the late Bruce and beloved mother of Bruce (Kate), Robin (Rick) Diloia and the late Laurie Ann Alexander, Grandmother of Ian (Juliana), Robert, Julianna (Nick) Bonacci and Katie (Gordon) Breish, and Great-grandmother of Angelina, Isabella, and Slyvana. She was the daughter of Horace and Julia Holaday of Highland Park, N.J. and Derry, N.H. and was the youngest of six, predeceased by brothers, Horace, Duncan, Ellsworth, William and survived by her sister Julia of Westfield, Vt. and many nieces and nephews. As Marianne Holaday, she had a long career in the arts, with appearances on television as the Moderator on WHYY's Nursing Today and other shows, on the local stage in many roles such as the lead in Little Mary Sunshine at the Society Hill Playhouse, in movies in location shots and as a model in numerous print campaigns for agencies in Philadelphia and New York. She enjoyed painting and sketching with her husband, singing in choirs, and with the many musicians in the family, summers with many friends on Cape Ann, and sailing with her family. For many years she was a Board Member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists and a member of the Screen Actors' Guild, a volunteer at the Main Line Unitarian Church. She was also a Director and President of the Levering Mill House Senior Center in Bala-Cynwyd.
A Memorial Service will be held at a date to be arranged in the fall at the Main Line Unitarian Church in Devon, Pa. and internment will be private under the direction of Stuard Funeral Directors, Inc. of Ardmore, Pa.
