Marjorie Elinor's Story
Marjorie Elinor (Jones) Andersen, 90, died July 30, 2016, in Exeter, N.H. She was born in Ipswich, Mass., August 19, 1925, the daughter of the late George and Sadie (Martin) Jones. She grew up in Essex, Mass., and graduated from Gloucester High School.
She married Robert Andersen and moved to Kingston in 1944. She was a member of Essex Grange, Essex, Mass. She then became a member of Wingold Grange #308 of East Kingston, and was a 74 year member. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church, Kingston. She worked with her children with 4-H and Cub Scouts when the children were young.
Hobbies included sewing, reading, and Sudoku puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Joann Brandt of East Kingston, N.H., and Jean Caraluzzi of Freehold, N.J.; four sons, Ralph and his wife, Ann of Wrentham, Mass.; Albert and his wife, Melissa of Newton, Mass.; Kenneth of Columbus, N.J.; and Carl and his wife, Dale of Foxboro, Mass.; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Robert H. Andersen; two brothers, George W. Jones and Kenneth Jones; son-in-law, F. Lawrence Brandt; and grandson, Joseph Caraluzzi Jr.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Kingston, 6 Church St., Kingston, NH.
