Mary Priscilla's Story
Mary Priscilla Levasseur, 95, of 51 Poplar Park, Gloucester passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Priscilla was born in Gloucester on July 23, 1921, to the late Captain Thomas and Alice (Burke) Foley. She graduated from Gloucester High School and worked for many years in the business and personnel offices at Mal's and Filene's Department Stores.
Priscilla was preceded in death by husbands, Everett Brown, Sr., Gerry Carl of Gloucester and Henry Levasseur of Daytona; son, Thomas J. Brown; sisters, Catherine Foley and Lillian Tobey; and brother, Robert Foley of Gloucester; niece, Katherine Tobey.
Priscilla was the last member of the Foley family in her generation.
Priscilla is survived by two sons, Everett W. Brown, Jr. and his wife, Jane Brown of Gloucester and Thomas D. Brown and his wife, Judy Brown of Danvers; five grandchildren, Tracie Fuller, Amy Ruvolo of Gloucester, Eric Brown of Sanford, Maine and Nicole George and Jason MacNeil of Danvers; great-grandchildren, Matthieu Sargent, Rebecca Sargent, Lucas Sargent, Alexi Ruvolo, Salvatore Ruvolo and Soren Ruvolo of Gloucester, Hannah Brown of Sanford, Maine, Kayla Camardella and Corey MacNeil of Danvers; nephews, Robert Tobey and Bruce Tobey of Gloucester and Robert Foley of Colorado.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Addison Gilbert Hospital and Care Dimensions who took such great care of her in her final hours.
In keeping with Priscilla’s wishes there will not be any visitation or funeral service. The immediate family will meet to say goodbye and release her ashes at sea in the spring.
