Patricia A.'s Story

Patricia A. (Kiley) Hanson, 69, died peacefully following a lengthy illness on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was the beloved wife of James H. Hanson, with whom she shared many loving years of marriage.
Born in Lawrence on December 14, 1946, she was a daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Howard) Kiley. Patricia attended Lawrence Public schools and was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Lawrence. She graduated from Merrimack College with a B.A. in Biology. Prior to her retirement from Lahey Clinic, she worked as a Medical Lab Technologist for Holy Family, Hunt Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital.
In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, cross stitching, watching movies, and attending the Lowell Repertory Theater with her husband. Some of her most cherished memories were spent at the Fryeburg Fair in Maine and going out to lunch with her childhood friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived and will be deeply missed by her four children, Kristine Martel and her husband, Scot of North Reading, Daniel Driscoll of Hampton, N.H., Kathleen Hanson and Jennifer Hanson, both of Haverhill; and five grandchildren, Kiley and Samantha Martel and Jhon, Frantz, and Courtney Hanson; as well as many cousins and friends.
Patricia was predeceased by her brother, James A. Kiley.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, August 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her funeral will be held inside the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, at 10 a.m. Burial will take place following the funeral service in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia's honor to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter, 1389 Bridgton Rd., Fryeburg, ME 04037.
