Patricia A.'s Story

Patricia A. (Doyle) Wall, 74, of Rockport, wife of the late Carleton Wall, passed away in the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, February 6, 2017, after a courageous battle with year-long cancer, surrounded by her family.
Pat was born in Gloucester, Mass., on March 17, 1942, the daughter of the late Wilfred Amedee and Mary G. (Gracie) Boudreau Doyle. She graduated from Gloucester High School with the Class of 1960. She had been a waitress for most of her life, working at the Peg Leg Restaurant and the Sunrise Grille in Rockport and Friendly’s in Gloucester. She especially enjoyed working the lunches for the Rockport Rotary Club while at Peg Leg. Pat loved spending time with her grandchildren. When she lived in close proximity to Long Beach, most summer days were spent by the sea with her children. Traveling to St Croix and spending many summers in Nova Scotia with her husband where highlights in her life. Pat liked reading romance novels and doing puzzles. Her family and friends will miss her.
She is survived by her sons, Carleton Wall Jr. and his wife, Elaine of Rockport, and Scott Wall and his fiance, Aimee Shea of Gloucester; five grandchildren, Brittni Bouska and her husband, Capt. Jonathon Bouska, USMC, of Vista, Calif., Brendan Wall, Braydon Claypool, both of Rockport, Kolton Wall of Gloucester, Christopher Muise of Pensacola, Fla.; three brothers, Thomas Boudreau of California, Wilfred Doyle Jr. of Indiana, Robert Doyle and his companion, Karin St. George; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Wall; her son, Michael Wall; her sister, Sheila Doyle; and her brother, Jack Doyle.
In keeping with Pat’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours and service and burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
