Patricia Ann's Story
Patricia Ann Parady, 84, loving wife of Theodore C. Parady for almost 60 years passed away Friday night June 10, 2016, in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Davners after a long illness. Pat grew up in Beverly Farms, graduating from Beverly High School in 1949. She went on to pursue a career in pediatric nursing at Boston Children’s Hospital School of Nursing, practicing there and later at Hunt Memorial Hospital in Danvers.
Pat and Ted began their married life in Ipswich where they primarily lived for the last 60 years, raising their family. In the 1980s, Ted’s job with General Electric Corp. took them to South Korea. They enjoyed their time there and were able to take advantage of the location to travel to multiple locations in the Far East.
In their retirement years, Pat and Ted returned to Ipswich, continuing to travel abroad, visiting many of the friends made while living in South Korea and enjoying watching their grandchildren grow up.
Pat leaves behind, in addition to her husband, Ted of Ipswich, their five children, six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, Peter, Karen, James and William Parady of Amesbury, Mass., Katherine Parady of Beverly, Mass., Julia and Steve Giangregorio of Chandler, Ariz., Janice Parady, also of Beverly, Mass., and Christine, David, Nola, Theodore, Holly and Christopher Wesche of Auburn, N.H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 16, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. Burial will follow in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Morris Funeral Home, 45 North Main Street, Ipswich. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
