Pauline M. (Aiello)'s Story

Mrs. Pauline M. (Aiello) Passanisi, 98, of Gloucester passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016, in Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Passanisi.

Pauline was born April 9, 1918, in Boston, daughter of the late Anthony and Grazia M. (Ciaramitaro) Aiello. She was a resident of Gloucester for over 60 years and was educated in Boston.

She worked as a seamstress and enjoyed making her children and grandchildren clothes for many years.

Pauline was a lifelong communicant and active member at Holy Family Parish at St. Ann’s Church. She was also a member of the Madonna Del Rosario Society. She had unconditional love for her family and friends. She was well known for her cooking, especially her baking. Pauline was also a very creative woman who enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie Murray and her husband, Daniel, her son, Anthony Passanisi and his wife, Faye, all of Gloucester; her grandchildren, David Dennis, Diane Parisi, wife of Joseph, Joseph Passanisi, husband of Patti, Anthony Passanisi, husband of Hana, Christina Passanisi and Paula Passanisi. She was the great-grandmother of Joseph and Jessica Parisi and Joseph and Zoe Passanisi; also survived by her special friend, Jack Bourinot and his dog, Niki. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and a special godchild, Marie Cacciola.

She was the grandmother of the late Pamela Dennis and sister of the late Jennie A. Ruggiero, Salvatore Aiello, Mary Frontiero and her late husband, Sebastian “Busty” Frontiero.
Pauline’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Prospect St., Gloucester on Saturday morning, December 17, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In honoring with Pauline’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours.
