Phyllis-Jeanne (FiFi)'s Story
Phyllis-Jeanne (FiFi) passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. FiFi attended school in both Gloucester and Rockport, and lived in Rockport for many years thereafter. However, after the death of her husband of 31 years Charles Eric (Gunny) Sax, FiFi decided to move to Florida in 1990. FiFi spent her time enjoying her family and the beach. FiFi is survived by her daughter, Kim Phillips; sons, Eric Sax of Bonita Springs, Fla., and James and his wife, Amy of Gloucester. FiFi was blessed with eight grandchildren, Brandon Sax, Trevor Weidman, Heather Lebert, wife of David, Eric O'Donnell, Joshua Sax, Amanda Sax, and Nicolas Saulnier. She also was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Caleb Eaton and Kailyn Lebert. She is also survived by her aunt, Connie Gillis, and niece, Donna Tabbi, and her daughter, Heather. In addition to her husband, Gunny, FiFi was predeceased by her parents, Stuart and Jeannette; and her brother, Donald Lane.
At her request there will be a private distribution of ashes at a later time.
