Randel's Story

Mr. Randel D. Blake, 59, of Rockport, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday July 12, 2017. He was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Frontiero) Blake with whom he shared 15 years of marriage.
Randy was born November 13, 1957 in Boston. He was the son of Elizabeth (Scott) Blake of Danvers and the late Donald F. Blake. He was a resident of Rockport and previously resided in Gloucester for 30 years. He was a graduate of Beverly High School and attended Salem State College.
Randy worked as a professional bartender for many years having to retire due to ill health. He previously drove limousines, cabs and also worked construction.
He was a United States Air Force veteran.
He enjoyed helping people and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid bowler and belonged to many leagues over the years. He also played pool, a sports enthusiast he particularly liked golf and football. He enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes and liked animals especially his friend, Finn, a black lab.
In addition to his loving wife, Mar Ann and mother Elizabeth, Randy is survived by his son, Ian Blake of Danvers, his granddaughter, Sydney Blake; his brother, Donald S. Blake of Pennsylvania and Dane G. Blake of Danvers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his father, Donald, Randy was predeceased by his brother, Lance K. Blake.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Randy’s Memorial Service in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, Prospect St., Gloucester, on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment in Linebrook Cemetery, Ipswich will be private.
