GLOUCESTER: Robert (Bobby) Clancey died unexpectedly from heart complications. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. and Nina (Sinagra) Clancey and his brother, William Francis Clancey.
Robert was a 1967 graduate of Gloucester High School and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. He was fluent in six languages. One of his many quirky talents! As a young man, he worked for the Ford Modeling Agency in NYC and was a part-time actor. After leaving modeling, he became an entrepreneur. In his later years he was an enthusiastic personal trainer. Always adventurous, he had a real zest for life. In his spare time, he loved any activities that involved the ocean, especially sailing. He also enjoyed golf, tennis, reading, writing music, writing poetry, painting and cooking. In spite of all of Robert’s travels and adventures, he always returned to Gloucester. For him, there was no place more beautiful than Cape Ann. Good Harbor Beach was his “one particular harbor.”
Robert is survived by the love of his life, Paula Norman; his daughter, Leslie Casey and his son, Bryn Taylor and wife Tomiko; his stepdaughter, Cara and her husband, Wil Webb; his sisters, Kathleen Clancey and her wife, Victoria Dritsos and Maureen Clancey and her husband, Peter Ciarametaro; his brother, Barry Stacks and his wife, Mary Ann; his nephews, Travis Delaney, Ryan Clancey, Will Clancey and Wade Clancey and niece Nicole Stacks; his grandchildren, Hannah Casey, Juliette Casey, Lincoln Taylor and Gunner Webb. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
