Rosalie (Militello)'s Story
Rosalie (Militello) Moceri, wife of the late Anthony Moceri, peacefully passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at home surrounded by her sons and family.
Born in Gloucester, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Frontiero) Militello. Rosalie attended Gloucester schools and worked at fisheries located on the "Fort," before marrying and moving to California. Rosalie was fun loving and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She could light up a room with her big personality. If you did not know Rosalie, when you arrived, she made you feel like family before you left. She was kind-hearted, with a wonderful sense of humor. More than anything, Rosalie treasured her two sons and her family.
Rosalie is survived by her sons, Michael Moceri and Tony Moceri and his partner, Karen Calvaruzo; grandchildren, Michael A., Christopher, Stephanie Moceri, and Katrina Moceri Matthews; and great-grandson, Grant Matthews.
Rosalie is also survived by her sister, Phyllis (Militello) Camille. Rosalie and Phyllis shared a special bond being a year, a month, and a day apart. They spoke everyday. Rosalie's beloved brother, Michael Militello, passed away on April 18, 2017. In addition, she is survived by her nieces, Toni M. Camille and her partner, Edward Berkman, and Cynthia Camille Ilges and her husband, Kevin; great-nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 144 Prospect St., Gloucester, on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 6 p.m.
