He was a resident of Stowe, Vt., for the past 12 years and previously resided in Virginia and grew up in Gloucester, a graduate of Gloucester High School. He went on to further his education at Norwich University and received his B.S. in Education in 1966. After retiring from the military, Rudy founded Propman, a property management company in Northern Virginia, and eventually managed over 200 residential properties. In 2003 he sold Propman Property Management and he and Elaine purchased their beautifully landscaped home in Stowe, Vt.
He was a longtime supporter of the Stowe Land Trust, Vermont Ski Museum and Norwich University. He also was a consensus builder and created along with Elaine a beautiful home in Stowe where he would enjoy his family visits and nature. He was an avid pool player, and as Elaine would play her piano in a beautiful family room he designed and had built, he would enjoy shooting pool. He also was an avid and excellent fisherman.
