Sebastian T.'s Story
Sebastian T. LoVasco, 59, of Mirror Lake, N.H., husband of the late Mary Ellen (Driscoll) LoVasco, passed away in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, with his family at his side. Sebastian was born in Gloucester on February 13, 1957, the son of the late Antonio and Grace (Pallazola) LoVasco. When his children were little, every year they would go camping at a different campground in New England. He was a member of the "Hogs" Chapter of Laconia, N.H. They enjoyed riding their bikes all around New England and New York. Sebastian loved drag racing at the New England Speedway in his '79 Chevy Camaro Z28. He was the owner of L&L Construction and worked around the Lakes Region in New Hampshire for many years. After his wife passed away, he tendered to her flower and vegetable gardens that she left behind. When he needed downtime, he found peace and quiet at Independence Park in Beverly. Sebastian was loved and will be missed. He left us way too soon.
He is survived by his children, Joseph LoVasco and his fiancee, Sarah, Laura Percival and husband, Craig, all of Beverly, Jared LoVasco of Tuftonboro, N.H.; his four brothers, Salvatore LoVasco and his wife, Amy Harrah of Haverhill, David LoVasco and his wife, Patty Colahan, Thomas LoVasco and his wife, Paula, all of Beverly, and Michael LoVasco of Londonderry, N.H.; father and mother-in-law, Yolande Driscoll and her husband, Daniel of Beverly, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his furry companion, a Staffordshire Terrier named "Tootsie." He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony LoVasco.
His visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester, on Friday, June 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. His funeral will be held from the Greely Funeral Home at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish, 60 Prospect St., Gloucester, on Saturday, June 18 at 9:30 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Gloucester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Sab's Benefit Fund, c/o Beverly Bank, 254 Cabot St. Beverly, MA 01915.
