Sister Mitrina's Story
Sister Mitrina Davidson, CSJ, in her 75th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was the devoted daughter of the late Albert L. and Sarah Louise (Monahan) Davidson and loving sister of the late Edna Shea and Jean Seckington. She is survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; her Sisters in the congregation and her beloved family of Our Lady of Good Voyage; and longtime friends, Father Alves and Sister Sebastian.
Sister formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas School, Jamaica Plain; St Mary School, Charleston; Cathedral School, Boston; Immaculate Conception School, Revere; Immaculate Conception School, North Cambridge; St. Raphael School, Medford; and as Principal at St. Mary School, Winchester. Sister Mitrina most recently served as the Director of Religious Education for 39 years at Our Lady of Good Voyage Parish, Gloucester.
Final Commendation at Bethany on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, with burial following at St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick, MA. A memorial Mass for Sister Mitrina will be held at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church at 9:30 a.m. on April 12, 2017, and a reception to follow in the church hall.
