Theresa F.'s Story
Theresa F. Cahoon, 53, wife of Mark T. Cahoon of Gloucester, passed away on Monday evening, May 1, 2017, at Mass General Hospital following a long courageous battle.
Born in Gloucester on August 8, 1963, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rosalia (Favaloro) Scola.
Theresa was a graduate of Gloucester High School with the Class of 1981 and worked at Gorton's of Gloucester.
Following her marriage to Mark, she worked hard raising her two beloved daughters, Rosalia and Olivia. Theresa possessed a wonderful sense of humor and throughout her life would smile and laugh off any adversity that came her way. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
In addition to Mark and daughters, Rosalia and Olivia, she is survived by her parents, Joseph and Rosalia; her brother, Larry Scola and fiancé, Doris Rivera; her sister, Roseann Wayrynen and her children, Andrew, Matthew and Macie; sister-in-law, Tamara Rowe and husband, Ken, and their children, Kenn Rowe and wife, Pam, and their son, Gavin, Nathan Rowe and husband, Brennan, Kyle Rowe; brother-in-law, Bryan Cahoon and wife, Mary Margaret and their children, Shane and Mallorie; aunt and uncle, John and Kathleen Scola; many other aunts, uncles and cousins; and her best friend, Pauline Scola.
She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Scola, Jr.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 5 at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church. Extended family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
There are no visiting hours.
