Gloucester - Adrian B. Hewitt, a lifelong resident of Gloucester, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 28, at the age of 79.


Adrian attended Gloucester schools. He worked in maintenance at Seafood Kitchens, Varian and Abiomed. In his younger years, he was an auto mechanic and race car driver. Among his many talents and hobbies, photography was his passion. He focused on landscapes and always had his loyal dog Roxie by his side.


Adrian is survived by his wife Liz; his daughter, Shelley and her husband Mike Brown and their daughters, Julia and Faith, and his son, Matthew and his wife Jill. He is also survived by his sister, Sherry Larrivee; brother-in-law, Jeff Crowley; sisters-in-law, Zoee Crowley and Sally Barber, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.


He was predeceased by his parents, Oscar 'Larry' and Dorothy Larrivee; brothers, Bill Hewitt and Rene Hewitt; sister, Elizabeth Hewitt; brothers-in-law, Jim, Bob and Jack Crowley.

Services will be private.
