Gloucester - Alice J. (Sanborn) Mullahy, 77, of Gloucester, passed away Sunday morning, July 21, 2019, at the Gloucester Healthcare Center. Born in Gloucester, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Edith (Johnson) Sanborn. She was raised and educated in Gloucester and attended Central Grammar School.
Alice had been employed as a seamstress at Union Hill Cleaners for many years. She also enjoyed working for Action, Inc. and being a crossing guard for the Gloucester Public Schools.
Alice had been a lifelong resident of Gloucester and enjoyed skating locally. She also was fond of playing five hundred rummy and working on puzzles. Alice also enjoyed sewing and crocheting and adored her cat Fluffy.
Surviving her are two daughters, Debra Perruzzi and her husband Richard of Gloucester, and Cindy Burke and her husband Scott of Gloucester; one son, Richard Klier of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; four grandchildren, Nicole Gerrior of Barrington, N.H., Brianna Gerrior of Boscawen, N.H., Katie Lynn Burke of Gloucester and Kyleigh Burke of Gloucester; and one great-grandchild, Chase Lakeman of Gloucester. She was also the mother of the late Karen Rudolph; grandmother of the late Cpl. Steven Gerrior of the U.S. Marines and longtime companion of the late James Rowe.

Her services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's name may be made to the Cape Ann Animal Aid, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930. To Alice's Family;
I am so very sorry for your loss. Alice was a member of the GHS Class of 1963. My memories of her was that She was quiet, kind and never said a bad word about anybody. Both my husband, Wayne and I send you our sincere sympathy at this most difficult time. God bless, The Martins
