Gloucester - Angela Sue (Asaro) Anderton passed away December 8, 2019, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was born in Gloucester to Angie (Tocco) Maggiore and the late Peter V. Asaro.
We especially, above all, want to thank our mother Angie Maggiore for all her extended endless loving time and energy helping Angela all her life. Thanks to all the nurses and doctors at Care Dimensions. Also, a special loving thanks to her devoted sister and caregiver, Patricia Jacobs and her husband Russell "Buddy" Jacobs for all their love and support.
When she was young, Angela needed special exercises for 12 weeks. We would like to thank the volunteers who were then called the Bean Baggers Club that helped with this. We would also like to thank Kaye Jones for her help with the transportation for all of Angela's activities and appointments during her younger years.
In addition to her mother Angie, Angela is survived by her husband, Wayne Anderton; her step-father, Onofrio Maggiore; and three step-sons, James, William, and Robert Anderton, all of Gloucester. She is also survived by her two adoring sisters, Lana and her husband William E. Bergmann of Lebanon, N.H., and Patricia and her husband Russell Jacobs of Gloucester; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two step-sisters, Frances Dow and her husband Paul; their two children, Mia and Luke and Loredana Simpson; her husband Jeffrey and their daughter, Gia. She also leaves behind an uncle and aunt, Vincent J. Tocco and his wife Susanl; also two aunts, Sarah Sears and Rosemarie Tocco; and two dear friends, Geraldine Cronin and Joanne McKay. She was predeceased by her father, Peter V. Asaro; her brother, Vito C. Asaro; and her 10-month-old sister, Donna Lee Asaro.

Her funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester, on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. Visiting hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela's name may be made to Cerebral Palsy Association of Eastern Mass, 275 Lafayette St., Salem, MA 01970, or to Care Dimensions c/o Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
