Angela Taormina Obituary

Gloucester - Angela (Ciaramitaro) Taormina of Gloucester, MA passed away peacefully in Delray Beach, Florida with her husband and sons by her side on Thursday, January 29, 2026, after a brief, sudden illness. She was 82 years old.

Angela was born on February 19, 1943 in Terrasini, Sicily. She was the youngest of six children born to Giuseppe and Rosalia (Ciaramitaro) Ciaramitaro. She immigrated to the United States along with her family on board the SS Vulcania on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1952, at the age of 9 years old. She attended St. Ann's school and graduated in 1962 along with her sister-in-law Rosalie with whom she had a special lifelong bond. Angie married her husband Nick on September 5, 1964, and together they enjoyed 61 years of marriage.

Angela was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and baker, always feeding her family. Once her boys were older, she worked at the Hallmark Store and then at Strong Leather. Angie often took her grandchildren out for pizza & ice cream and for walks along the Boulevard. Occasionally she took trips to the casino. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida where she made great friends and was a member of the Imperial Villas Men's & Ladies Club of Delray Beach. She and Nick often attended social night at the clubhouse and also enjoyed playing cards regularly. Angie always looked forward to her daily walks with dear friend Nuccia Viviano.

Angie leaves behind her devoted husband Nicolo (Nick) and her three sons and grandchildren, Frank and his wife Kimberly (Wennerstrom) and their children Nikolas and Jaclyn; Joseph and his son, Mathew; and Nicolo (Nick) and his wife Pamela (Movalli) and their children Jenna and Nicolo (Nico) and his fiancé Allison (Allie) Sears, all of whom she loved very much. Angela's warmth, generosity and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed. Her legacy lives on in those she loved.

She is also survived by her brother Antonino and wife Grace (Maniaci) Ciaramitaro, her in-laws Rosalie (Orlando) Ciaramitaro; Peter Taormina and wife Diane (Brooks); Phyllis (Giordano) Taormina; Joseph and Josephine (Giordano) Taormina, all of Gloucester; and Maria (Delisi) Taormina of Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Agatha and husband Salvatore Daleo of Michigan, Elisa and husband Pietro Gambino of New Jersey; her brothers Joseph Ciaramitaro and Carlo and wife Beverly (Stone), all of Gloucester.

She was predeceased by her husband's parents Francesco & Stefana (Viviano) Taormina, and in-laws Vito and Ninfa (Taormina) Ciaramitaro; Leonardo Taormina, all of Gloucester and Salvatore Taormina of Florida.
