Gloucester - Ann Mary Milone (Frontiero), age 83, a forever resident of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2020 due to a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincenzo 'Jimmy' Milone. Ann was the daughter of the late Katherine 'Katy' (Aiello) & Salvatore 'Sam' Frontiero. She graduated Gloucester High School in 1955 and soon married Jimmy at the age of nineteen.
Ann was a devout Roman Catholic, who enjoyed performing the rosary during St. Joseph's Day and fully enjoyed St. Peters Fiesta. She adored Gloucester and was an Italian fisherman's proud wife and stay at home mother, lovingly raising 5 children. She was passionate about cooking and baking with the benefit of apple trees in her backyard, fresh seafood brought to her door, & the influence of her Italian heritage. Her most joyous hobby was collecting cookbooks. She was an elementary school Cub Scout Den Mother for her son, Anthony. In 1986 she decided to take her first & only paying job as a housekeeper at AG Hospital. She fully embraced & enjoyed this new venture, meeting new people every day, until her retirement.
With her family, Ann relished backyard cookouts, family celebrations, 4th of July holidays at Stage Fort Park, joyful Christmas mornings, summer vacations in the White Mountains of NH, trips for fried clam dinners at Woodman's and special occasion dinners at the Village Restaurant in Essex. She loved Italy, especially Sicily with its familial roots, culture, beauty & lighthearted relaxation and always questioned why she never visited sooner. Later in life, Ann & Jimmy spent their Sunday evenings visiting Stage Fort Park for the warm-weather Gazebo concerts and ice cream at the Cupboard.
Ann is lovingly survived by her children: Stephen J. & wife Wendy (Watson) of Waldorf MD, Robert S. & wife Roberta (Paige) of Gloucester, James J. of Gloucester, Nancy A. Townsend & husband Edward of Knox PA, Anthony P. & wife Amy (Reis) of Upper St. Clair PA. She was grandmother of Kristen Shull (Milone), Michael Milone, Laura Watson (deceased), Lucy Collazo (Watson), Jenna Bunnell (Watson), Taylor Cinseruli, Emily Cinseruli, Edward Townsend, Nicholas Townsend, Reis 'Max' Milone & Madison Milone. She had 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews, 3 godchildren & was the loving sister to Anthony Frontiero and to the late Virginia Randazza. In addition, she is survived by Mrs Carol Frontiero of Gloucester, Mrs Mary Russo of Gloucester and Mr and Mrs Rosario Milone of Magnolia: her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law. She is warmly remembered by her years long home health aid, Teresa Smith.

I am saddened to hear of this loss, especially at such a time as this, when it is challenging to find comfort together. Ann was always kind, and serving up something amazing on a plate, to ensure I felt like family. May God bind up your hearts and may you find yourselves anchored in deep faith until you can all be together again. God's peace to the Milone Family
