Gloucester - Anthony R. "Tony" Christo Jr., 65, of Gloucester passed away unexpectedly Wednesday September 18th at Addison Gilbert Hospital. Tony was the loving husband of Cheryl (Sauve) Christo with whom they shared 34 years of marriage.
Born in Gloucester son of Anthony and Aimee (Albertson) Christo Sr. Tony was a graduate of Gloucester High School Vocational Program in 1972. Tony worked for many years at LePages Inc.
Tony enjoyed sunsets, fishing, playing cards, dancing, music, darts and he was called the "human rain delay". His laugh was one of a kind and will never be forgotten. He loved all home town sports and played for various men's slow pitch softball leagues on Cape Ann and was also a member of the BBVC Club. Tony had an unconditional love for his grandchildren and will be missed by many friends and family members.
In addition to his wife Cheryl he leaves five sons, Greg Christo, Jared Christo, Tony Christo and his former wife Samantha Scola, Nick Christo, Joshua Christo and his wife Lauren Ellis Christo; three grandchildren, Lucas Urbanski, Caleb Christo, Gabriella Christo; two sisters, Ginny Loiacano, Janet Gray and her husband Russell; father-in-law, Joseph Sauve, mother-in-law Marie Sauve, sister-in-law, Joanne Sauve and her partner Kathy Payton, brother-in-law Joe Sauve and his wife, Emma; and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Tony's wishes there will be a Celebration of his life on Monday, September 23rd at The Gloucester House Restaurant, 63 Rogers Street, Gloucester, from 4 to 7 p.m. The burial will be private. Cheryl I am so sorry for your loss, I know we have not seen each other in awhile. But please know I am here if you ever need to talk or just a shoulder to cry on. Please tell all your boys so sorry for their loss also.

To the Christo family:I was very sorry to read of Anthony's passing in the Gloucester Times,he was a good friend of mine and my twin brothers from middle school thru High school, I use to work with Anthony's dad at the A&P which is now Walgreens,again I'm very sorry for your loss, sounds like he had a great family and a great life with lots of fun, I will always Tonys laugh.God Bless you all
