Beverly A. Luster Obituary

Plantation - Plantation - Beverly A. Luster died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She lived with extraordinary strength & joy, guided always by love & courage, and left this world as she lived in it—true to herself and on her own terms.

Born and raised in Gloucester, she was the youngest of 11 children of the late Joseph & Elizabeth (Warby) Luster. Her family lived on Maplewood Avenue and owned Luster's Market. Working there from a young age, she discovered her love for hospitality and her gift for making people feel welcome. She attended St. Ann's school and graduated from Gloucester High (1955).

A true entrepreneur, Bev built a career in the hospitality industry, creating businesses that reflected her warmth, creativity, determination and fun-loving spirit. Each venture carried her distinctive touch. Later in life she relocated to Florida to live near her children & grandchildren where she enjoyed music, live entertainment, watching Tom Brady play football, and going to the casino and out to movies and restaurants.

Bev was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Dawn Lutoff and her 10 siblings. Despite these heartbreaking losses, she carried on with remarkable resilience and strength, inspiring everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her entrepreneurial spirit, natural beauty, glamorous fashion, kindness, and most of all, her infectious smile. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she loved dearly. She leaves behind two of her children, (Lisa Lutoff-Perlo and husband Andre, Bobbi-Lee Meloro and husband, Anthony (all of Plantation, FL), four grandchildren, (Sayer Sweeney and Sophia, Jillian and Brody Meloro), and many fabulous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at The Greely Funeral Home on October 4 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., followed by a graveside Catholic service at Calvary Cemetery where Bev will be laid to rest with her family. All who attend are asked to wear white in her honor. If you would like to send flowers, please contact Audrey's Flower Shop at 978-283-2171.
