Carol Ann Baxter Obituary

Midlothian - Carol Ann Baxter of Midlothian,VA passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026.

We are at peace knowing that she has joined her loving and devoted husband, Bob Baxter and her adoring son, Duncan Ryan.

Carol grew up in Richboro & Ivyland, PA, the daughter of Maryline and Donald Macfarlan, along with her sister Gael Abbasi. She spent summers with grandparents in Gloucester, MA, which she ultimately moved to and no matter where life took her, she always considered it home.

She loved Christmas and dogs, became quite the painter, and was known for her fashionista style, making certain that everything matched perfectly! Carol was a "no-nonsense" woman who, whether guiding co-workers as a nurse, or telling daughters to "sit up straight", did so with genuine love and intended the best for everyone.

Carol held her friends in high esteem and once you were considered to be one, she would be by your side forever.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Shannon Ryan, her stepchildren, Lindsey Singleton and William Baxter, and her grandchildren, Bailey Kent, Jack Shrayer, and Laura and Sumner Ryan.

There will be no services, as Carol would not want all the fuss! Her family asks that you take a moment to think of a time with her that makes you smile.
