Rockport - Carol Cataldo, died on June 19, at her home in Rockport, MA. She is survived by her children Simon (Chessie), Eva Berlin (Gdaly), and Anna; sister Ruth Pomerance; grandsons Lev, Hank, Alan, and Charlie; former husband and lifelong friend Jim; nephews Aaron and Emilo Prieto; step-mother Molly Pomerance; father-in-law John Cataldo; and many other beloved family members and friends. She is predeceased by her father Alan Pomerance; mother Iris Feldman; step-father Benjamin Feldman, and Molly's husband Seymour Schwartz. Carol graduated from Colorado College and received her MSW from the University of Michigan before becoming a social worker for formerly incarcerated youth and Russian immigrant communities in New York. After moving to Concord, MA, to raise her children, she continued her career in adoption and foster care at Concord Family Services. She later worked at Forever Tile in West Concord, and was an active member of Kerem Shalom Synagogue where she was bat mitzvah'd as an adult. Carol lived a vibrant life and widened everyone's worlds with her intuitive gift for friendship and connections.
