Carol J. Joyce
May 18, 1936 - January 27, 2026
Carol J. Joyce, 89, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, December 27, 2025. She was the devoted wife of the late William F. Joyce, with whom she shared sixty wonderful years of marriage.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Christine Clark, and her husband William, of Gloucester; her grandchildren, Riley, Emily, and Zachary; her sister-in-law, Marylou Joyce; her brother-in-law, John Foster; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was predeceased by her son, Stephen; her sisters, Claire, Ruth, and Phyllis; and her sister and brother-in-law, Priscilla and Robert Abate.
In keeping with Carol's wishes, services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol's memory to the Rose Baker Senior Center, 6 Manuel F. Lewis Street, Gloucester, MA 01930.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
