Rockport - Cynthia J. Carroll, 73, of Rockport, MA., passed away on April 9, 2026. She grew up in South Lancaster, MA., and moved to her beloved town of Rockport, over 30 years ago.

She was known for her biting wit, fierce sense of justice for women, and unending devotion to her family and friends. Those who knew her will remember her sharp intelligence, her willingness to speak truth without hesitation, and the deep loyalty she offered to those she loved.

Cynthia's life was defined by the relationships she built and the strength of her convictions. She brought humor, clarity, and courage into every room she entered, and she never hesitated to stand up for what she believed was right.

She is survived by her brother in Virginia. She was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and George Carroll of Rockport, MA.

There will be no services, in accordance with her wishes. Her ashes will be scattered privately at sea by her best friend, cousin, and goddaughter.

Cynthia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
