Daniel A. Dunn Obituary

Gloucester - Daniel Allen Dunn of Gloucester, 40, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. Danny was born in Danvers and attended the Manchester Essex Regional high and Hamilton Wenham Regional High School. Danny's love for football started with youth football all through his high school years. Later, he went on to play Semi-Pro football for the Manchester Rebels of the New England Football League with his brother David for 6 years. As a little boy, Danny picked the New York Jets as his team. He will be remembered by those who knew him well for his unwavering support for the New York Jets.

Danny followed in his father's footsteps in the family Firewood business. He delivered to many family homes of the North Shore for several years. He also worked for Gorton's Seafood in Gloucester. He was well known for his dedication and wonderful sense of humor. He will be remembered by his family, friends and neighbors for his generosity and kind heart - both larger than himself.

Danny is survived by his daughter, Dakota Dunn, his mother, Bonnie Dunn, and his brother David A. Dunn Jr. and his wife Jannett Dunn. He also leaves his grandmother, Diane Story, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and a surrogate father-friend, John Hinkley, also known as Grampy Hinkley to Dakota.

Danny was preceded in death by his loving father, David A. Dunn Sr.
