GLOUCESTER - Dennis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at The CareOne Newton Nursing Home in Newton, MA.

Born and raised in Gloucester on February 17, 1956, to Louis G. McGrath and Grace (Brancaleone) McGrath-Allen, Dennis was known for his hardworking nature and his outspoken personality. He was an avid Boston sports fan, always cheering passionately for his favorite teams and sharing his opinions with enthusiasm.

He is survived by his brother, Louis S. McGrath and his wife Wendy, his sister Colleen Sullivan, and his brother Daniel McGrath and his wife Kathy. Dennis also leaves behind a niece, nephew and a great niece and two great-nephews. He is also survived by his special friend Elizabeth Hill. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Louis G. McGrath, his mother Grace (Brancaleone) McGrath-Allen, stepfather Donald Allen, brother-in-law, Henry Sullivan, and many great-uncles and great-aunts.

In accordance with Dennis's wishes, there will be no burial. A memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date to honor his life.
