Gloucester - Gloucester - Doris M. Martin passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 26th. Doris (born Doris M. McCall) was born in Gloucester to the late Mabel Doucette and John H. McCall. She graduated from GHS with high honors in 1939.
She was employed by LePages, Hagstroms, Acme Apparel, finally retiring at age 91.
She enjoyed spending her retirement with her grandchildren, caring for her garden, she was a member of Our Lady of Good Voyage Guild for many years.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Jameson, and her husband Leonard, and Joseph Martin, 3 grandchildren, Kristie Jones, and her husband Jamin, Katie Martin, and Kyle Martin, and his wife Sheighlin, 3 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Adam, and his wife, Emily, and Michaela Jones, and 1 great-great-grandchild, Romeo Saputo.
Her graveside funeral service will be at Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester, on Tuesday, August 5th at 1pm. Visiting hour will be held prior to the service at Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester, from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
