MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA - MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA - Dorothy "Dot" E. Durgin, 90, of Manchester-by-the-Sea, passed away August 24th, 2025 at Seacoast Nursing Home after a long period of declining health.

Born in Saugus, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Frank A. Durgin of Lynn and Dorothy S. Durgin of Newburyport. Dot was a graduate of Saugus High School, Burdett College, and the American Institute of Banking (AIB). She went on to spend 40 years in the banking and finance industry as a manager of several branches.

Dot enjoyed annual trips to Ogunquit, Maine and gathering with friends. She spent many summers at Province Lake in Wakefield, New Hampshire, and of course, Singing Beach. In her retirement, Dot spent many days visiting nursing homes and maintaining her treasured community connections.

Dot was well known for her wit, dry humor, and above all, her kind and compassionate nature - she always put everyone before herself.

Dorothy is survived by her beloved life partner of 47 years, Judith A. Brennan, her two nieces, four nephews, and her many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends and loved ones are invited to Dorothy's graveside service which will take place at Riverside Cemetery, 164 Winter Street in Saugus, on Thursday, August 28th, at 11:15 AM. Burial to follow.
