Elaine "Candy" Tarantino Obituary

Lebanon - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine M. (Candy) Tarantino who died unexpectedly on December 26, 2025 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

She was born in Gloucester, MA on June 6, 1949, daughter of Albert (Red) Gamage and Laura (Midge) Williams Gamage.

Elaine graduated from Gloucester High School with high honors with the class of 1967. Following graduation, she worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant at the United Shoe Machinery in Beverly, MA, as a Secretary with O'Donnell-Usen Fisheries in Gloucester and then the City of Gloucester Retirement Board before retiring in 2007.

Candy had a wonderful sense of humor enhanced by her unique cackling laugh which will be missed by all who knew her. Known for her excellent baking skills, Candy could always be counted on to bring the best homemade desserts to family gatherings. Her knack for knitting also resulted in many treasured gifts among family members.
