Gloucester - Eleanor M. Pallazola, age 92, died July 31, 2019 at Gloucester Healthcare. She was the wife of the late Anthony Pallazola.
A lifelong Gloucester resident, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Evelyn (Taylor) Spittle.
Mrs. Pallazola worked as a housekeeper for many years at St. Ann's Rectory. She was a member of the Fisherman Wives Association and was active in the campaign to protect Georges Bank from offshore oil drilling. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening and horticulture, caring for dozens of unique house plants. She loved dogs, music, and literature.
Surviving her are three sons, Joseph S. Pallazola and his wife Jacqueline of Amesbury, Peter A. Pallazola of Lowell, Paul A. Pallazola and his wife, Kathy Munoz of Beverly; a daughter Evelyn A. Walker and her husband Mark of Fredericksburg, Md.; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Jacob and Donald Spittle.

Her funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, St. Ann's Church, 60 Prospect Street, Gloucester, on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu flowers, donations in her name to The Saint Vincent De Paul Society c/o Holy Family Parish 74 Pleasant Street, Gloucester MA 01930.
